MOUNT OLIVE, NC - The Newberry Wolves battled hard but ultimately fell short against the Mount Olive Trojans in a competitive men's wrestling matchup, dropping a 29-17 decision on the road.

The Wolves secured four individual victories, highlighted by a dominant pin from Caelan Alderman at 149 pounds, taking down his opponent in just 2:28. Dayton Fields (174) and Andrew Reed (184) also delivered key wins, with Reed securing a high-scoring 25-16 major decision. Heavyweight Kale Schrader capped the night with an impressive 11-3 major decision victory at 285 pounds.

Despite the strong efforts, Mount Olive capitalized with close wins in multiple weight classes.
