GREENVILLE, SC - The Newberry Wolves men's golf team closed out the Lander Spring Invitational with a solid performance in the second and third round to secure 7th place in Lander's Spring Invitational.
Round 2 Recap:
The Wolves showed consistency in the second round, led by Tom Hull (73, +1), who kept his momentum with steady play throughout the round. Herman du Plessis (75, +3) and Josh Greig (75, +3) matched scores, keeping Newberry in the mix. Jack Earle (75, +3) delivered his best round of the tournament, while Carlos Camaros-Ruiz (79, +7) rounded out the scoring.
Round 3 Recap:
Newberry closed strong in the final round, highlighted by Herman du Plessis (71, -1), who delivered the Wolves' only under-par round of the day, climbing ten spots on the leaderboard. Hull (77, +5) and Greig (77, +5) remained steady, while Camaros-Ruiz (77, +5) and Earle (77, +5) contributed to a balanced team effort.
With a resilient showing over the final 36 holes, the Wolves intended to build on this performance at the LMU Spring Kickoff on February 10th in St. Augustine, FL.
