Gaffney, SC – Despite a strong start, the Newberry Wolves acrobatics & tumbling team came up short against Limestone and Belmont Abbey, falling 84.555 to Limestone's 265.145 and Belmont Abbey's 238.665.
The Wolves opened the meet with a solid 10.75 in the Compulsory Event, but small deductions in Tumbling put them at an early disadvantage. Newberry bounced back in the Acro and Pyramid Events, earning a total score of 15.25 in Heat 1. In the Pyramid Event, Newberry secured a solid 18.6.
In the Tumbling Event, Newberry scored a strong 26.6. Despite the loss, the Wolves showed significant improvement from their first meet of the season at home, where they scored 74.775—an impressive 9.7745-point increase. Their season record stands at 0-2, and their next match will be back at Limestone, set to begin at 6 PM
