MARS HILL, NC- Three Wolves finished in double figures as the Newberry men's basketball team showed determination and skill on the road Wednesday night in an 84–66 loss against the unbeaten Mars Hill squad inside Stanford Arena. Newberry put together multiple scoring runs, controlled the offensive glass at key moments.Â

17 offensive rebounds—their second-highest total of the season—to generateÂ
17 second-chance points and keep pressure on the Lions throughout the night. Newberry also producedÂ
22 points off the bench andÂ
10 fast-break points, showing depth, pace, and energy.
Guard play continued to shine as Drew Robinson led the Wolves with 18 points, seven rebounds, three steals, and two assists—his most complete outing of the year. Kayzzin McDowell followed with 15 points on efficient shooting, knocking down three triples. Malakhi Stremlow added 12 points, six rebounds, and a block, giving Newberry three players in double figures.
Defensively, the Wolves forced 12 Mars Hill turnovers, turning them into 15 points on the other end. Newberry's physicality was also on display with 38 total rebounds, nearly matching Mars Hill on the boards.Â
Newberry now turns its attention back home, preparing to host UVA Wise this Saturday, December 6 at 4 p.m. in Eleazer Arena.Â
