GREENSBORO,NC- The Newberry College women's basketball team showcased balanced scoring, steady effort, and competitive stretches in a road matchup at North Carolina A&T, facing a Division I opponent in a challenging non-conference test. The Wolves moved the ball effectively and found multiple scoring options throughout the game, with
Ryann Hernandez leading the way with 10 points, knocking down shots from both inside and beyond the arc.
Hannah Nimmo followed with 9 points, including
three three-pointers, providing an offensive spark from the perimeter, while
Leigha Harris added 8 points with strong finishes in the paint.
Rickell Brown and Jada Brown each chipped in 7 points, highlighting Newberry's depth and ability to spread the scoring load across the lineup.
Defensively, Newberry competed with physicality and energy, battling for rebounds and finishing with 30 total boards while working to limit second-chance opportunities.
