NEWBERRY, SC – The Newberry College volleyball team fell in its final home match of the 2025 season, dropping a competitive 3–1 (19–25, 25–27, 25–18, 15–25) contest to USC Aiken inside Eleazer Arena on Tuesday night. The Wolves move to 11–14 overall following the non-conference matchup.
Jana Price led the Wolves with 13 kills and 14 digs, hitting .222 on 45 swings for 13 points. Carole Ann Hussey added an efficient 10 kills on .474 hitting, while Madison Watson and Anna Schneider chipped in seven kills apiece. Hailey Clayworth anchored the defense with 27 digs, and Gabi Garabedian contributed 13 digs and three aces from the service line.
Setters Annie Dill and Merryck Brackett combined for 35 assists, distributing a Newberry offense that tallied 48 kills, .160 hitting, and five aces. The Wolves also posted seven team blocks, led by Hussey, Evie Paalman, and D'Metria Jordan with one solo block each.
Newberry will close its regular season on the road this weekend vs. Carson-Newman in a big SAC matchup at 7pm on Friday.
