This week's South Carolina Army National Guard Newberry College Players of the Week are junior forward Molly Quartly (Tustin, Calif.) and senior quarterback Reed Charpia (Brookland-Cayce).

Quartly scored the game tying goal with under 20 minutes left to give the Wolves a crucial point in a 1-1 tie with Lincoln Memorial.  It was Quartly's team leading third goal of the season and her fifth career goal with the Wolves.  Quartly started both games last week and played 163 minutes as the Wolves earned two points with a pair of ties in league play.

Charpia completed 26 of 33 passes for two touchdowns and 253 yards in the Wolves 36-34 win over Emory & Henry.  Charpia has now thrown for 2,105 yards, 18 touchdowns and just one interception and has completed 71 percent of his passes.  He is just the seventh quarterback in Newberry College football history to throw for at least 2,000 yards in a season and the first since Dre Harris in 2021.
