The Newberry College Wolves football team has been picked to finish 5^th in the South Atlantic Conference Coaches preseason poll.

Four of the top five and five of the top seven teams in the preseason poll reside in the Piedmont Division in which the Wolves compete.

The Wolves won the South Atlantic Conference title in 2021 and 2022 and finished last year with a 4-7 overall record and a 3-6 league mark.
Newberry opens fall camp with players reporting Monday and first practices Wednesday.

The season begins in 36 days when the Wolves host 2023 NCAA Division 2 playoff team Valdosta State at 7:00 p.m. at Setzler Field.

The September 7^th contest is one of seven home games for the Wolves this season.
