MILLEDGEVILLE, GA – The Newberry College baseball suffered a 3-2 walk-off loss to the Bobcats of Georgia College Wednesday afternoon in John Kurtz Field in Milledgeville.
Junior outfielder
Donovan Ford extended his hit streak to 30 games with a single in the top of the first, as he went 2-4 on the afternoon. Senior catcher
Rhett Jolly was the other Wolf with multiple hits.
The Wolves scored two runs in the top of the first with a sacrifice fly from
Josh Watson followed by a rbi single from
Luke Compton to give the Wolves an early 2-0 lead.
The Bobcats would answer with a run in the second, sixth and the bottom of the ninth to top the Wolves in both the Bobcat and Wolf regular season finales.
