NEWBERRY – The Newberry College baseball team (24-25, 18-12 SAC) will hit the road for their regular season finale against the Bobcats of Georgia College (28-20, 15-9 PBC) on Wednesday afternoon. The first pitch is set for 5:00 p.m., at John Kurtz Field in Milledgeville, Ga.

Scouting the Wolves
- The Wolves received the six seed in the upcoming South Atlantic Conference postseason tournament after a 24-25 overall season and an 18-12 south Atlantic conference record. The Wolves enter this week with a three-game winning streak after sweeping Emory & Henry in their three-game series this past weekend at the Smith Rd. Complex.
- Junior centerfielder Donovan Ford leads the Wolves offense in the 2024 campaign. Ford hit his 200th career hit with a single in game two of the three game series against the Wasps Saturday.
- Last time out against the Bobcats, freshman pitcher John Rollings went two innings as the starter and struck out a batter against the Bobcats in early March.
Scouting the Bobcats
- The Bobcats come into their final regular season game with a 28-20 overall record and a 15-9 record in the Peach Belt Conference. The Bobcats are a two seed in their upcoming conference tournament.
- Sophomore infielder Gabriel Wuerth leads the Bobcat offense with a .398 batting average. Against the Wolves, Matthew Mebane had a 3-5 performance with four RBIs.
- Last time out in the Smith Rd. Complex, the Bobcats got a win from Christian Donaldson who went two innings with a strikeout in early March.
