Wolves Take Down The Trojans

Box Score ANDERSON, S.C. - Women's tennis handles business at Anderson, 6-1.

Doubles started the rampage for the Wolves as two of the three duos claimed a victory. Ish Singh and Rosie Harfield were the first to get a win for the Wolves. In a tight match, Singh and Harfield squeezed out a 6-4 set. Margarita Nikonorova and Emma Arnel had the best performance in doubles, taking their set and solidifying the team point with an easy 6-1 win. Despite their loss, the duo of Aina Miralles and Sofia Cardenas had an exciting and back and fourth match, with the Trojans just getting the edge on them 4-6.

Singles was non-stop action on every court, where three Wolves went undefeated on the day.
Court one say Arnal take her win in three sets. Dropping the first set, Arnal had a tight second set, winning 6-4 and sending the match to three. Running the tank completely empty, Arnal claimed victory after a wild 7-6 finish, getting the Wolves their second point.
Court two saw Cardenas earn redemption from doubles. After dropping set one, forced set three after a 7-6 second. In the final set, Cardenas would yet again take the hard fought win with a 7-6.
Nikonorova was the second the remain undefeated today. Much like the others, she lost her first set then forced a third set with a 7-6 play. Getting the job done in a better fashion, Nikonorova took the point and sealed the match for the Wolves with another tight 7-5 play. 
The final Wolf to be undefeated was Singh who had yet another three set match. Losing her first, Singh came back to have a tight 7-6 win, sending the match to three. In the third, Singh cleaned up and earned the Wolves a point with a 6-4 play.
The final win came from none other than Miralles who continues her singles win streak. Just like the ones before her, Miralles lost her first set, sending her match to three. In the second set, Miralles had the best singles performance of the day, winning 6-3. In the third Miralles would go shot for shot with the Trojan, taking victory 7-6.

The Wolves will come back home on Saturday, April 3rd where they take on UVA Wise at 1 P.M.
