PREVIEW: Wolves To Face The Bulldogs In The SAC Semi Finals

WINGATE, N.C. - Fourth seeded Newberry Wolves face the first seeded Wingate Bulldogs in the quater final round of the SAC tournament. The match begins at 5 PM at Wingate.

SCOUTING THE WOLVES

In the semi final round of the conference tournament, Newberry showed just how much they've grown since the beginning of the season. Defeating UVA Wise 14-13 in Februrary, on Wednesday, the Wolves devoured the Cavaliers 19-5.
Getting snubbed in all conference selection, the Wolves will look to up the ante against a stout Wingate squad.
Expect a big defensive effort to be led by Kaitlyn Mason, Madalyn Messersmith and Morgan Parsons. In the previous match up with Wingate, Mackenzie Dorr was still absent, with her in net, the Wolves may be able to keep the Bulldog damage to a minimum.
Also absent from Wingate's match was Cassell Richardson. With an full and healthy Wolves offense, Newberry should out perform their last meeting.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

Wingate received a first round bye after claiming the first seed in the South Atlantic Conference tournament.
The Bulldogs only conference loss came at the hand of the Anderson Trojans 15-16.
- Two weeks go the Wolves dropped their match to Anderson 6-13.
After the SAC awards were given out, the Bulldogs now have the midfielder of the year on their team as well as six first team selections, one second team and one third team selection.
Against unranked opponents, the Bulldogs are 11-0.
