NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Wolves (20-18, 8-8 SAC) swept the Indians of Catawba (18-20, 6-8 SAC) this afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference double header, with the score for game one 8-4 and the second game score being 11-10.
Game 1
Freshman pitcher,
Lex Glemaker earned the win for game one of the afternoons to improve her record to 8-5 for the season.
Vanessa Wilson started the Wolves off in the bottom of the first with an RBI double to right center to put the Wolves up 1-0.
Mady Brown reached on a fielder's choice for
Kristin Griffin to score in the bottom of the second putting the Wolves up 2-0.
The Indians would have an RBI double in the top of the third to put up their first run.
The Wolves would answer with an RBI single from
Bethany Pigg in the bottom of the third to extend their lead to 3-1.
Catawba would add one more run in the top of the fourth making the score 3-2.
The Indians would take the lead in the top of the fifth by adding two runs to make the score 4-3.
Kristin Griffin would answer with a two-run home run up the middle in the bottom of the fifth for the Wolves to regain the lead 5-4.
Hailey Hill would extend the Wolves lead with a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 8-4.
Lindsey Foster would earn her first save of the season holding the Indians to scoreless innings in the sixth and the seventh.

Game 2
Lex Glemaker earned the win for game two of the afternoon to improve her record to 9-5 for the season.
Catawba was the first on the board for game two with three runs in the top of the first.
The Wolves would answer with an RBI single from
Bethany Pigg and a two- run double from
Kristin Griffin to tie the game 3-3 in the bottom of the first.
The Indians would add three more runs in the top of the third to take the lead 6-3.
The Wolves
Bethany Pigg would hit an RBI double and Pigg would score on a Catawba wild pitch to shorten the Indians lead 6-5 in the bottom of the third.
As the two teams continued to battle, Catawba would extend their lead with an RBI single in the top of the fourth.
The Wolves remained on Catawba's tail adding another run to keep a one run game in the bottom of the fourth with the score 7-6.
The Indians would rally three more runs in the top of the fifth to gain a 10-6 lead.

Melanie Carr would start the Wolves off in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI double.
Sierra Brogdon then hit an RBI double down the left field line.
Hailey Hill would hit a SAC fly out to center field for
Mady Brown to cross the plate.
Bethany Pigg hit an RBI single down the left field line for the Wolves to tie the game up 10-10.
Mady Brown then fouled out to the Indian's first baseman for
Maddy Staples to cross the plate for the Wolves to take the lead 11-10.
Lindsey Foster would earn her second save of the season allowing only two hits and one run in three innings of work.
