Wolves Split with Lincoln Memorial on the Road

HARROGATE, TN.- The Wolves split with the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial on the road this afternoon. The Wolves took game one 6-1 and the Railsplitters took game two 8-1.

Game 1

Lex Glemaker earned the win for game one, improving her record to 9-5 for the season. Glemaker allowed one run, three hits, and three strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Sierra Brogdon started the Wolves off in the top of the second with a single to right field for Leah Evans to score. Cassidy Phelps then reached on an error by the Railsplitters short stop and Tori Rose crossed the plate to put the Wolves up 2-0.
Bethany Pigg hit a sacrifice fly out to left field for Vanessa Wilson to score extending the Wolves lead 3-0.
In the top of the fourth the Wolves add three more runs. Cassidy Phelps hit an RBI double to right field, Vanessa Wilson hit an RBI single to short stop, and Bethany Pigg hit an RBI double for Vanessa Wilson to score.
The Railsplitters would attempt to come back in the bottom of the fifth scoring one run, but the Wolves would take game one 6-1.

Game 1 Leaders Game 2

The Railsplitters started game two strong posting three runs in the bottom of the first inning and one in the bottom of the second inning to take the lead 4-0.
Senior first baseman Sierra Brogdon hit a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Wolves on the board for their first run of game two.
The Railsplitters would add four more runs in the bottom of the sixth to extend their lead and take game two of the afternoon 8-1.

  • Sierra Brogdon went one for three at the plate with a home run and an RBI.
Up Next
The Wolves will be back at the Smith Road Complex next Tuesday to host the Cobras of Coker University for a conference double header set to begin at 2:00.
