JEFFERSON CITY, TN - Women's tennis (11-5, 7-4 SAC) rounds out their regular season against Carson Newman (8-7, 6-4 SAC). The first match will begin at 12 P.M.
SCOUTING THE WOLVES
- The Wolves are locked into the conference championship tournament and are now fighting for better seeding.
- Currently tied for fifth with Catawba (who Newberry lost in a head to head match). With a win and a Catawba loss to Tusculum, the Wolves will stay at fifth in the tournament.
- A loss tomorrow may result in the Wolves dropping to the seventh seed as Carson-Newman is one game behind Newberry.
- An all-around team effort prevailed on Wednesday as the Wolves cruised past the Cobras of Coker. Now on a three match winning streak after a slow spring break return, the Wolves can keep their momentum going if they continue playing like this.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
- Carson-Newman is one game behind the Wolves in conference play at 6-4. They will have back to back days of play as they take on Mars Hill (0-11 SAC) on Sunday.
- The Eagles biggest win this season came from a 4-3 win over Catawba.
- Much like Newberry, the Eagles were also unable to over take Tusculum and Lenoir-Rhyne.
- Newberry defeated Limestone 4-3 while Carson-Newman lost 3-4.
