Scouting the Wolves
- The Wolves are back at .500 with a 17-17 overall record after taking two of three on the road at Mars Hill last weekend.
- Junior outfielders Donovan Ford and Kade Faircloth's bats have been coming alive recently. Ford leads the Wolves with a .387 batting average. Ford will enter tomorrow's game with a 14-game hitting streak. Faircloth went 6-13 in the last four games with a double, triple, and four RBIs.
- Senior right-hander Matias Marchesini had a great outing for the Wolves in Friday's 1-0 win over Mars Hill. Marchesini threw eight innings while striking out seven batters in route to his second win of the season.
Scouting the Crusaders
- The North Greenville baseball team will enter this week's mid-week non-conference game with a 26-7 overall record and a 14-4 record in the Conference Carolinas. The Crusaders are ranked number three in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
- David Lewis is the leader of the Crusader offense. Lewis enters this week's matchup with a team high .395 batting average, 10 doubles, 13 home runs, and 45 RBIs. Lewis went 4-13 with a home run and two RBIs in the series with Young Harris last weekend.
- In the last mid-week battle, the Crusaders went with senior right-hander Matthew Murphy to start in their non-conference battle with Lincoln Memorial. Murphy threw two innings and got a no decision in their 3-2 win against the Rail-splitters. Murphy has a 3.06 ERA in six starts for the Crusaders.
