NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Wolves (17-15, 5-5 SAC) split their conference doubleheader with the Eagles of Carson Newman (19-11, 9-1 SAC) this afternoon with the Eagles taking game one 10-1 and the Wolves taking game two 6-3.
Game 1
The Eagles started game one off with a single to right field to score their first run. They added one more run in the top of the first to take the lead 2-0.
The Eagles would extend their lead in the top of the third to 5-0 with a three-run home run. Carson Newman added three more runs to make their lead 8-0.
The Eagles had a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to improve their lead to 10-0.
The Eagles thought they would have a perfect game in the bag, but
Vanessa Wilson had other plans.
In the bottom of the fifth,
Vanessa Wilson hit a solo bomb to center field to put the Wolves on the board.
The Eagles took game one of the afternoon 10-1.

Freshman
Lex Glemaker earned the win for game two of the afternoon pitching all seven innings allowing three runs and four hits with seven strikeouts. Glemaker improved her record to 6-4 for the season.
The Wolves came out hot with a two RBI single from
Cassidy Phelps in the bottom of the first.
The Eagles would take the lead with three runs in the top of the second to make the score 3-2.
The Wolves would answer with a run scored on an error by the Eagles catcher to tie the game 3-3.
Sierra Brogdon would hit a SAC fly for
Tori Rose to score to take the lead 4-3.
Hailey Hill extended the Wolves' lead with a two-run home run to left field to make the score 6-3.
The Wolves took game two of the afternoon 6-3.
Lex Glemaker held the Eagles to five scoreless innings after the second inning.
