GAFFNEY, S.C.- The Wolves (16-12, 4-2 SAC) split this afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference double header against the Saints of Limestone (16-10, 1-5 SAC) with the Saints taking game one 5-0 and the Wolves taking game two 6-3.

Cassidy Phelps started the Wolves off in the top of the first with a single up the middle.
The Wolves totaled four hits in the first game but struggled to get on the board.
In the top of the sixth inning the Wolves would threaten to score with runners on second and third after a pinch-hit single from
Carson McCowan and a lead off walk from
Leah Evans.
The Saints would prevent the Wolves from scoring in the top of the seventh as the Wolves would start a rally but leave the bases loaded as the Saints would secure a 5-0 shutout.

Freshman pitcher
Lex Glemaker earned the 6-3 win for the second game of the afternoon to improve her record to 5-4. Glemaker threw her third complete game, allowing three runs in seven innings of work with three strikeouts.
Cassidy Phelps started it off for the Wolves by reaching on a fielder's choice for
Sierra Brogdon to score.
Brogdon grounded out to second base for
Maddy Staples to score, putting the Wolves up 2-0 in the second inning.
The Saints tagged three runs in the bottom of the second to take the lead 3-2.
The Wolves
Bethany Pigg answered with a home run to left center to tie the score 3-3. Brogdon then hit a two-run home run for the Wolves to regain the lead 5-3. Phelps singled through the right side and
Mady Brown scored to make the score 6-3 in the top of the fourth.
The Wolves won game two 6-3 against the Saints.
