NEWBERRY – The Newberry College baseball team (7-15, 3-6 SAC) will look to get a historic win this week with two mid-week non-conference games with Georgia College (12-10, 4-2 PBC) and USC Aiken (7-15, 3-3 PBC) on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

The Wolves will travel down route 121 to Aiken on Wednesday evening as they will face the Pacers of USC Aiken Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday's game will be on the

Scouting The Wolves
- The Wolves are 7-15 with a 3-6 South Atlantic Conference record going into this week after winning their series on the road at Coker last weekend.
- Junior outfielder Donovan ford had a great week going 7-16 in four games including a walk off infield single to beat the Pacers of USC Aiken last Wednesday evening.
- Junior two-way play player Hunter French continues to improve on the mound for the Wolves. The Minneola, Fla., native struck out three batters and gave up no earned runs in the 2-1 win over Coker Friday afternoon.
Scouting the Bobcats
- The Bobcats of Georgia College will enter this mid-week contest with a 12-10 record and a 4-2 Peach Belt Conference record.
- The Bobcat offense is led by Senior utility Brandon Bellflower. Bellflower currently has a .429 batting average, 12 doubles and 19 Rbis in the season and currently holds a 13-game hitting streak. In this past weekend's series with USC Beaufort, Bellflower went 8-15 with a home run and five RBIs.
- In the last mid-week contest for the Bobcats, Senior right-hander Ryan Jacob got the win for the Bobcats. Jacob pitched 23.2 innings and struck out 14 batters.
Scouting the Pacers
- The Pacers are 7-15 on the season and 3-3 in the Peach Belt Conference. They are currently on a four-game skid after being swept by the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern last weekend.
- Capers Molinaroli leads the Pacer offense with a .378 batting average, Junior infielder Dalton Graves went 2-4 against the Wolves last week where he hit a home run.
- While the Pacers used Derek Espinoza last week, they have also used graduate right-hander Evan Condon. Condon went four and a third innings his last time out against Emory & Henry last Tuesday evening.
Up Next
The Wolves will hit the road to Anderson this Friday and Saturday for a three-game series against the Trojans of Anderson University. Friday will be a singular nine inning game while Saturday will have a double header with a nine inning and a seven-inning contest.
