PREVIEW: The Wolves are Back in Eleazer Arena to Host No.14 Catawba

NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Wolves are set to host the No. 14 Indians of Catawba tomorrow evening at 5:30 for a South Atlantic Conference matchup in Eleazer Arena.

Scouting the Wolves 

  • The Wolves are 7-14 overall and 5-8 in SAC after their win against Tusculum 87-77.  
  • April Rummery-Lamb led the pack against the Pioneers, being one rebound away from a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds.  
  • Jess Tomkins added 12 points and seven rebounds, Ella Pearson and Caylin Moments contributed 11 points.  
  • Rummery-Lamb leads the Wolves averaging 16.3 points per game.  

Scouting the Indians 

  • The Indians are 15-3 overall,10-2 in SAC, and they are also ranked No. 14 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association national ranking after their win against Carson-Newman 76-74 last weekend. 
  • Against the Eagles, Lyrik Thorne had a career night with 38 points and tagged seven rebounds and six assists.  
  • Thorne leads the Indians averaging 21.3 points per game.
