NEWBERRY - This week's Army National Guard Newberry College Players of the Week are first baseman Sierra Brogdon and left-handed pitcher Ethan LeBron.

Brogdon batted .500 with seven hits in 14 at bats, two home runs, a double, and seven runs batted in as the Wolves split the first four games of the season. She had multiple hits in three of the four games, including a home run, a double and three RBI in the season opening 11-3 win over Lees-McRae. Brogdon also had three hits and three RBI in the 10-2 win to clinch the doubleheader sweep.

Lebron pitched the Wolves to their first win of the season by allowing only one earned run on six hits. He struck out four and walked just one in Sunday's 4-2 home-opening victory over Francis Marion. In his three seasons, he has a career record of 13-6 in 23 starts, a shutout and three complete games.
