Scouting the Wolves:
• Newberry (5-13, 4-9 South Atlantic Conference) lost its most recent game on Saturday against Tusculum.
• Against the Pioneers, the Wolves had four players in double figures:
Booker Cusaac (12 points);
Drake Downs (12);
James Lovorn (12); and
Caleb Byrd (11).
• The Wolves pulled down 18 offensive rebounds to raise their season average to 12.61 per game. That places them fourth in the SAC and T-38th in Division II.
• Over the last two games, the Newberry bench has outscored their counterparts 56-35.
Scouting the Indians:
• Catawba (12-4, 9-3) has won four straight including an 87-68 home win over Carson-Newman on Saturday.
• Javeon Jones led the Indians in scoring versus the Eagles with 17 points on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting with three trifectas. Jones is Catawba's leading point-getter at 14.2 per game.
• Montraivis White had 13 off the bench for the Indians who shot at a 41.7% clip from 3-point land (10 of 24).
• Catawba grabs 39.8 rebounds per game which is the third most in the conference, however, they allow opponents to get 38.8 per game, the second most in the league.
