AIKEN, S.C.- The Wolves (2-2, 0-0 SAC) fell in both games of their double header against the Pacers of USC Aiken (2-2, 0-0 PBC) this afternoon, 5-2 in the first game and 4-3 in the second game.
Game 1
The Wolves fell to the Pacers 5-2 in the first game of the double header on the road this afternoon. Austyn Dixon for the Pacers homered to right center in the first inning to make the score 1-0.
The Pacers would add on to their lead with four runs in the bottom of the 4th to make the score 5-0.
In the fifth inning, Mady Brown hit a sacrifice flyball to left field to bring Bethany Pigg in for Newberry's first run of the afternoon.
To start off the top of the 6th inning Hailey Hill would reach base on a fielding error by the Pacers' shortstop. Melanie Carr flied out to center field and Vanessa Wilson came across to score.
The Wolves held the Pacers to two scoreless innings through the last two innings, but the Pacers took game one 5-2.

Sierra Brogdon hit her second long ball of the season to center field to put the Wolves ahead in the first inning. The Wolves held the Pacers scoreless through the first three innings.
In the top of the fourth, Vanessa Wilson reached on a fielding error by the second baseman allowing her to advance to second and Hailey Hill came across the plate to make the score 2-0.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Pacers would tack on four runs making the score 4-2.
The Wolves would try to come back in the top of the seventh scoring one run with the help of Tori Rose's sacrifice fly to right field to bring Leah Evans in to score.
The Pacers took the second game 4-3.
Game 2 Leaders
- Brogdon, Carr, and Evans all went 2-3 at the plate.
