NEWBERRY – The Newberry College baseball team (4-11, 1-5 SAC) will be hosting the University of Findlay (1-7, 0-0 G-MAC) in a three-game series starting Thursday evening.
This will be the first time ever these two teams will meet in each of their program's existence.

Scouting The Wolves
- The Wolves enter this three-game series with a 4-11 overall record and a 1-5 South Atlantic Conference Mark. The Wolves are coming off a 6-5 loss on Tuesday night on the road to the Indians of Catawba.
- Junior left fielder Kade Faircloth leads the Wolves in the season with a .352 batting average along with 14 RBIs. Against the Indians, junior center fielder Donovan Ford had a 2-4 night, improving his season total batting average to .310. Ford got his ninth stolen base of the season upping his career total to 64 stolen bases making him three stolen bases away from jumping former outfielder Danton Hyman who is fourth all-time with 66 stolen bases.
- On the Mound against the Indians, Senior Right-Hander Matias Marchesini went two innings and struck out an Indian. Marchesini has a 2.89 ERA on the season along with a 1.39 whip in 9.1 innings pitched.
Scouting the Oilers
- The Oilers are entering the three-game series against the Wolves with a 1-7 overall record. Findlay is currently on a road trip in the Carolinas as they lost to Anderson 20-8 Tuesday night.
- Findlay is led on the Offensive end by graduate infielder Cam Farrar. Farrar holds a .462 batting average with six RBIs, a double and a home run. Farrar went 2-4 with two runs scored against the Trojans Tuesday night.
- The Wolves will likely see senior left-handed pitcher Logan Bragg. Bragg has had two starts for the Oilers against Wingate and Saginaw Valley. In those starts he went a combined 11 innings while striking out nine batters and allowing an opposing batting average of .289
