NEWBERRY – On the heels of a Senior Day win over Lincoln Memorial last Saturday, the Newberry College men's basketball team will hit the road for Salisbury, North Carolina, for a date with Catawba tomorrow (Feb. 28). Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Indians narrowly topped the Wolves on a buzzer-beater three weeks ago in Eleazer Arena in the teams' first meeting of the season.

Scouting the Wolves:
• Newberry (7-16, 6-12 SAC) has won two of its last three games including a 71-68 victory over LMU last Saturday.
•
Caleb Byrd scored a career-high 19 points for the Wolves in the win with four made 3s and seven free throws. It was his 13th time reaching double figures this season, the most on the team.
•
Devario Sheppard had 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
•
Jalen Johnson had 10 points in the final home game of his career.
• The Wolves made the most of their opportunities at the free-throw line as they made 19 of 22 attempts (86.4%).
Scouting the Indians:
• Catawba (17-5, 14-4) has won three games in a row and nine of its last 10. They beat Mars Hill 92-76 on the road last Saturday.
• Justin Banks gave the Indians 16 points off the bench in the win to lead the team.
• Javeon Jones and DeAngelo Epps had 14 apiece. Jones leads the Indians with 13.7 points per game and Epps averages 12.1.
• Shad Thomas and Montraivis White chipped in 12 each to put five Catawba players in double figures.
• The Indians average the third most points per game in the conference (87.8) but give up the sixth most (81.4).
