NEWBERRY – The Newberry College baseball team (3-8, 0-3 SAC) looks to continue momentum as they travel to Jefferson City to take on the Eagles of Carson-Newman University. The first pitch on Friday will be at 2:00 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader starting a 12:00 p.m.

Scouting the Wolves.
- Newberry is off to a 3-8 schedule with four of their 11 games against the top two ranked teams in the country. The Wolves are fresh off a 5-3 win over the no. 2 ranked Crusaders of North Greenville Tuesday afternoon.
- Junior outfielders Kade Faircloth and Donovan Ford are the Wolves top hitters. Faircloth holds the team high .361 batting average with eight rbis. Ford holds a .310 batting average with a team high two triples and seven stolen bases on the season.
- In the win at NGU Ford, Jacob LeBron, and Faircloth went a combined 7-15 with four rbis and two runs scored. Ford is currently fifth on the all-time list with 63 career stolen bases. Ford is four stolen bases away from jumping Danton Hyman to be in the top four all-time.
Scouting The Eagles
- Carson-Newman is currently 5-5 and are entering conference play this weekend after losing 9-4 to Lee University.
- The Eagles are led on the offensive end by senior outfielder Dalton McLain. McLain is hitting .314 with two doubles and two triples, along with six rbis. Against Lee, McLain went 1-4 with a stolen base.
- Wolves will see the senior right-handed pitcher, Noah Pridmore. Pridmore has served as the Friday Starter for the Eagles. Pridmore holds a 5.52 ERA and a 1-1 record in three starts this season. Pridmore has thrown 14.2 innings on the season.
