Scouting the Wolves:
• Newberry (5-15, 4-11 SAC) played conference-leading Wingate tight on Wednesday night but fell 85-77 on the road.
•
James Lovorn played 39 minutes and scored a team-best 25 points on 8-of-14 shooting. It was his third 25-plus point game this season and he also dished out six assists.
• Sophomore
Bobby Taylor had a career-high 18 points for the Wolves. He shot an impressive 70% from the field (7 of 10) and made 4 of 7 from 3-point range (57.1%).

Devario Sheppard made 9 of 10 free throws and finished with 15 points.
• The Wolves have taken great care of the ball on offense, averaging the fourth fewest turnovers per game in the conference.
Scouting the Cavaliers:
• UVA Wise (10-13, 6-8 SAC) has lost five of seven games but won in triple overtime at home against Limestone last Saturday, 121-119.
• Zy'Ever Wingfield led the Cavs with 34 points on an efficient 12-of-24 shooting performance with nine made free throws.
• Carmelo Pacheco added 28 with six made 3s. He shot 10 of 18 from the floor (55.6%) and also pulled down seven boards.
• Lav Cvetkovic contributed a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double in the win.
• UVA Wise is one of the better shooting teams in the SAC: They make 49.1% of their field-goals (fourth best) and 39.2% from 3-point range (second best).
