WISE, VA - Bounce-back Victory! Newberry Wolves defeat UVA Wise Cavaliers 58-52. Hannah Nimmo and Jess Tompkins led the Wolves to their road victory with 35 combined points, contributing to a huge 23 point 4th quarter.

Nimmo led the Wolves with 19 total points and 14 of them coming in the 4th quarter. 

The Cavaliers took an early 17-10 advantage over the Wolves to start the 2nd quarter, and led by 26-19 entering the second half.

Newberry's bench outscored the Cavaliers 13-8 with Ryian Howard leading the scoring.

Ella Pearson and Tomkins owned the boards with seven rebounds a piece, out rebounding the Cavaliers 45-40.

Julia Paoletta had a well-rounded start contributing 5 points and 3 steals.

Newberry sealed their victory with a 6-0 run in the 4th, breaking a late-game 52-52 tie.

The Wolves have improved their record to 4-7 and 3-4 in the SAC. They will face off against Lincoln Memorial in their next conference match at home on December 14th, at 12pm.
