The Wolves men's wrestling team delivered an impressive performance at the King Open, with standout efforts across multiple weight classes. The mix of dominant wins and close losses reflects the team's potential as the season progresses.

197 lbs: John Parker

•  1st Place, 26.0 Points

• Parker dominated his bracket, showcasing resilience and skill. After a sudden victory in the second round, he secured wins by fall and medical forfeit to advance to the final, where he claimed first place via forfeit.

157 lbs: Dennis Virelli

• 1st Place, 20.5 Points

• Virelli had an outstanding run, with victories by technical fall, major decision (15-7), and a critical semi final decision (5-3). Virelli continued with his momentum winning by descion in the final (4-2).

149 lbs: Cael Alderman

• 3rd Place, 16.0 Points

• Alderman notched three consecutive wins, including two by fall, before a narrow semifinal loss ended his title hopes.

133 lbs: Caiden Pelc

• 3rd Place, 14.0 Points

• Pelc had a strong showing, earning a fall and a decision (6-3) on his way to the semifinals. His competitive spirit was evident as he battled tough opponents.

165 lbs: Nick Humphrys

• 6th Place, 13.0 Points

• Humphrys had a long run, securing crucial wins in both the championship and consolation brackets by decision (4-1) and fall.

285 lbs: Chance Jackson

• 8th Place, 11.5 Points

• Jackson displayed dominance early, securing two quick pins and a consolation win, finishing as one of the top heavyweights.

184 lbs: Hayven Jenkins's

• 5th Place, 17.5 Points
• Jenkins showcased his skills with five victories, including two by medical forfeit, a tech fall, and a decisive 8-5 win in the 5th place match against Baxter Hoffman of Montevallo.

197 lbs: Malaikyi McKenna

• 8th Place, 9 Points
• McKenna recorded three wins by fall, including two under a minute, before ending his run with a medical forfeit in the 7th-place match.

Cole McCullough (141 lbs) scored 2.5 team points with a decisive pin in the consolation bracket. Des Marshall (174 lbs) and Tristan Malette (133 lbs) contributed critical wins in consolation matches, showcasing grit and determination.
 

The Wolves will compete next on Sunday December 1st on the road at Ashland University in Greenwood, SC.
