RECAP: In a tough conference matchup, Carson-Newman opened the scoring early, capitalizing on a well-placed pass to take a 1-0 lead. The Eagles doubled their advantage midway through the first half, leaving Newberry trailing 2-0. Just before halftime, a third goal extended the deficit to 3-0 as the Wolves struggled to break down the Eagles' defense.
Early in the second half, Carson-Newman added two quick goals in fast succession, widening the lead to 5-0. Despite Newberry's efforts, they continued to face relentless pressure, letting up two more goals before the Eagles added a final goal in the closing minutes to secure the 8-0 victory. The Wolves managed four shots, three of which were on target, while Carson-Newman recorded 22 shots with 14 on goal.
