Wolves Fall in Back and Forth Battle with the Wasps

Box Score EMORY, VA.- The Wolves battle but fall to the Wasps of Emory & Henry 84-76 this evening on the road.

April Rummery-Lamb led the Wolves with 29 points. Deshona Gaither posted 10 points and 7 boards, behind her Chloe Andrew went 3 for 4 from the three-point line for nine points.

The Wolves outscored the Wasps in the first and third quarters.

The Wolves held the Wasps in the first quarter with the help of a jump shot from Rummery-Lamb to finish the quarter 15-12.

In the back and forth battle the Wasps fired back with five points to take the lead in the second quarter, the Wolves continued to fight but the Wasps held the lead to go into halftime with the score 37-28.

The Wolves outscored the Wasps in the third quarter 21-18. Julia Paoletta's three cut the Wasps lead down to six to go into the fourth quarter with the score 55-49.

In the fourth quarter the Wolves were only two points from outscoring the Wasps. Rummery-lamb posted 11 points in the final quarter. The Wolves shot 45.5 percent in the field and 41.7 percent in the fourth quarter.
