ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Newberry College women's tennis team was picked third in the South Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll announced this morning. The Wolves received a first place vote along with 106 points in the poll.

The Wolves had two doubles teams and three single players receive preseason all-conference honors. The doubles team of Sofia Cardenas and Margarita Nikonorova, along with Emma Arnal and Alexa Gamborino-Suarez received second team honors. Cardenas, who was the 2023 conference freshman of the year, was tabbed as a second team player. Aina Miralles, and Margarita Nikonorva received third team honors in the preseason all-conference picks.

Wingate was picked first with 11 first place votes and 142 points, Tusculum was picked second with 119 points
