Newberry College to host fourth Howling Wolf Night

NEWBERRY, S.C. (Jan. 26, 2024) — The Newberry College Athletic Club will present its fourth annual Howling Wolf Night on March 2 at the college's Center for Teacher Education, 1121 Speers St. The fundraiser includes dinner, a silent auction, and a progressive raffle with multiple chances to win cash prizes.

The social begins at 6:30 p.m., the meal is served at 7 p.m., and the drawings begin at 8 p.m.

"This night has become the one to remember and we encourage everyone to experience the fun," said Sharon Bryant, director of athletic club.

Tickets are available for players 21 and older for $100 and include dinner, beverages, and a raffle entry. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $100. One guest dinner ticket, which excludes drinks and raffle entry, may be purchased for $30 by a full-price ticket holder. Only 200 tickets will be sold for the raffle, so Bryant encourages everyone to get theirs now.

The first ticket and every 15th ticket drawn will win $100. The next-to-last five tickets drawn will win $200, and the grand prize winner will take 25% of raffle ticket sales. Players do not need to be present to win.

The menu for the evening includes tossed garden salad, chicken breasts stuffed with sundried tomatoes and goat cheese, green beans, roasted baby potatoes, and dessert.
