NEWBERRY – Fresh off a home win on Wednesday night, the Newberry College men's basketball team will look to make it two in a row tomorrow afternoon (Jan. 13) against visiting Coker. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Eleazer Arena. The game will be Youth Jersey Day, so those aged 17 and under can gain free entry to the game if they wear their City of Newberry basketball jersey.

Scouting the Wolves:
• Newberry (3-9, 2-5 South Atlantic Conference) picked up its second conference win on Wednesday night over Lenoir-Rhyne, 71-66.
• In the win, the Wolves erased a 10-point halftime deficit and shot 21 of 30 in a 49-point second half, making 6 of 12 3-pointers.

Drake Downs led the Wolves with 20 points on 10-of-15 shooting to go along with a team-high nine rebounds.

Jalen Johnson (12);
Malik Joseph (11); and
Caleb Byrd (10) joined Downs in double figures.
• The Wolves also lowered their defensive scoring average to 76.8 points per game allowed which is fourth best in the SAC.
Scouting the Cobras:
• Coker (8-6, 4-3 South Atlantic Conference) has won its past two games including a 120-99 win at Mars Hill on Wednesday night.
• The Cobras shot 40 of 68 in the game (58.8%) and made 15 of 28 3s.
• Hayden Abdullah paced Coker with 26 points as he shot 11 of 12 overall and made all four of his shots from long range.
• Andre Leavell leads the Cobras in scoring at 20.3 points per game, good for second in the SAC.
• Coker leads the conference in scoring (100.2 points per game) but conversely allows the most points per game to opponents (99.9).
