NEWBERRY, S.C. - Women's soccer drops match versus conference rival Wingate.
Leading the pack on a defensively strong match, was freshman keeper
Aubrey Cripe who finished the night with 13 saves. Flexing her athleticism on multiple occasions Cripe provided pivotal stops on near impossible saves. In the 38th minute of the match, Cripe stopped two door-step goals within a 10 second window, this would not be the only time she did that this game. At the 52 minute mark Aubrey mimicked a similar sequence, saving back-to-back bottom left shots within a tight window.
Core members of the defensive cast were
Ava Espinoza,
Arden Kirkpatrick,
Rizza Songco,
Becca Lipp and
Kelsey Brustuen. Each of these wolves had crucial stops when the team needed someone to step up the most.
Your wolves will keep their play at home this Saturday against Carson-Newman. The match starts at 4:30 PM.
