NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Wolves volleyball squad collected their first conference win after sweeping the Cobras of Coker University this evening in Eleazer Arena.
Sophomore Samantha Shaffer led the Wolves with 14 kills while also collecting four blocks during the competition. Junior Katy Morrison led the team with six service aces to aid the Wolves in their win. Sophomore Annie Dill achieved a new season high tagging 34 assists this evening.
The Wolves started the first set strong maintaining a lead which helped them keep their momentum till the end. The only tie in the first set being the 2-2 mark, the Wolves then began racking up points to keep at least a three-point lead through the remainder of the set.
The third set was a nail biter till the end, the Cobras were able to gain a four-point lead making the score 11-15 until Morrison would serve up five aces in a row to put the Wolves closer to the finish line of their first conference win.

The Wolves will travel to Wingate tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. to take on the Bulldogs in a conference match.
