NEWBERRY ?  D2football.com released their 2023 Elite 100 list today (Aug.18). Tight End Tommy Washington, and defensive lineman Devante Gambrell made the squad list.
 
The Elite 100 list was selected by the staff of D2Football.com with the input of Josh Buchanan.
 
Washington had 21 receptions for 281 yards and four touchdowns in the 2022 SAC championship season for the Wolves. Washington earned preseason all-SAC honors for the 2023 season.
 
Gambrell had 45 total tackles in the 2022 campaign for the Wolves. Gambrell led the Wolves with five sacks for a loss of 25 yards. Gambrell received preseason all-SAC honors for the 2023 season.
 
The Wolves kick off their season Saturday (Sept. 2) as they travel to Shippensburg, Pa., to take on the Raiders of Shippensburg University. The season opener will kick off at noon (EST).
