NEWBERRY, S.C. -- Due to the overnight rain and the current weather forecast for the day, the final games of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament opening rounds at the Smith Road Complex have been pushed back to a 3:00 p.m. start time on Sunday, April 30. Newberry, the top seeded team in the tournament, will serve as the home team in the matchup as they take on the fifth seeded Lenoir-Rhyne Bears.
The two teams are fighting for the right to travel to the Tennessee Smokies stadium next weekend for the Championship Series. Newberry needs just one win today to secure that right while the Bears would have to take a pair from the Wolves.
If a second game is needed today, the contest will start approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the first game of the day.
