Scouting the Lions: Emmanuel College (1-1) will be making the trip up to Newberry for their third game of the season. The Conference Carolinas member comes into the matchup after winning their first game of the season in a 15-10 contest against South Atlantic Conference member Coker University on February 11. A player to watch for the Lions is midfielder Justine Dorelas. A senior from Tamarac, Florida, she comes into the game as the leader in points for the team with seven goals and two assists so far on the season. One of the best goalscorers in all of Division II Women's Lacrosse, her 77 goals a year ago was good for ninth in the country to go along with a 4.81 goal scoring average, which finished second in the nation. In the game against the Cobras, she scored a team high five goals and assisted two, and to go along with her offensive output, she had six ground balls and caused three turnovers. 

Scouting the Wolves: Newberry Women's Lacrosse (0-1) comes into the matchup against the Lions after losing on the road against the Young Harris Mountain Lions of the Peach Belt Conference on February 11 by a score of 11-10. Hoping to get a result in the next game against the visitors from Franklin Springs, one to watch for the Wolves is attacker Ella Todd. A freshman from Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada, she made her presence felt in the first game by scoring a hat trick and assisting a goal, along with two ground balls. Two of her goals were from the free position, which ties her for fourth in the conference.
