ROCK HILL, S.C. – Senior midfielder Lily Drury has been named the South Atlantic Scholar-Athlete for Field Hockey announced this afternoon.
 
Drury becomes the first Newberry Field Hockey player to earn the award in program history.
 
Head coach Hannah Dave is proud of Drury's achievements saying, "We are so proud of Lily and her hard work on and off the field for the last four years."
 
"Thank you Lilly for your dedication to Newberry College and Newberry College Field Hockey."
 
 Drury, a senior, boasts a 3.89 GPA studying biology. The Ballarat, Australia native has been named to the Dean's List in every semester in her collegiate career along with the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association National Academic team for four seasons.

As a Wolf, Drury was named the South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year along with a two-time all-conference honoree. Drury also earned a Wolfie for Community Player of the Year.
