MANHEIM, PA. – The Newberry College wrestling team is ranked at the 25
th spot in the newest edition of the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division II Men's Coaches' Poll released this afternoon.
The Wolves were tied at the 25
th spot with Kutztown and Minot State having 13 points.
Four Wolves are nationally ranked in their weight classes. At 125 lbs,
Zach Shupp is ranked 12
th in the nation,
Devan Moore is ranked ninth in the nation at 149lbs. Graduate
ZeBrandon Gant is ranked ninth in the nation at the 184 lb class.
Devon Rice rounds out the Wolves who are nationally ranked, as he is ranked ninth in the 285lb class.
The next ranking will be released just prior to the Christmas holiday, Dec. 22, following more than 50 Division II teams in action at Indianapolis' Midwest Classic Dec. 16-17. Those rankings will serve as seeds for the 2024 NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals, with Division II represented by 16 programs in Cedar Falls, IA, Jan. 5-6.
