Wolves Fall to the Jaguars at Home

Box Score NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Wolves (4-7, 2-2 SAC) dropped an 87-45 decision to the Jaguars of Augusta University (5-4) this afternoon in Eleazer Arena.  

The Wolves exchanged blows with the Jaguars in a first quarter, that had two lead changes. Senior guard Payton Cronen would knock down a three that would give the Wolves an 11-10 lead. After trailing 26-17 in the first quarter, the Wolves would outscoring the Jaguars 11-10  in the second quarter. Head Coach Joanna Tincher said, "In the first half we did a good job of sticking to the game plan. We had some really big minutes from our freshman, they are starting to figure out how to play at this level."  

In a game of runs, Augusta would pull away starting the second half with a 14-2 run, "in the second half Augusta came out with a big punch in the first couple of minutes that we didn't recover from. We will watch some film over the break, rest our bodies and be ready to get back to work!" Coach Tincher stated.  

April Rummery-Lamb led the pack with 10 points and five rebounds. Behind her, Payton Cronen collected nine points and Nadia Burns with eight in her first career start.
