EMORY, V.A.- The Wolves (7-18, 5-11 SAC) took one set from Emory & Henry (10-16, 6-10 SAC) this evening but fell 3-1.

The Wolves came out hot in the first set gaining an early lead. The Wolves forced a Wasps time out after going on a six-point run with the help of back-to-back kills from Margaret McMahon to make the score 15-11. The time out did not slow down the Wolves as they went on to score seven more points forcing the Wasps to use their second time out of the set, The Wolves maintained the lead to finish the set 25-19 with the help of a kill from Taylor Hall.

Both teams went point for point in the start of the second set. The Wolves were able to gain a three-point cushion with the help of a kill from Kate Brown to make the score 12-9. The Wasps then went on a seven-point run until Hall put an end to it with a kill. Kate Gross tagged two service aces in a row and McMahon scored two kills to put the Wolves back in the set 20-17. The Wasps took the second set 25-21.

The Wolves battled in the third set forcing a Wasps time out after the Wolves go on a seven-point run with the help of a kill from McMahon to tie it up 9-9. The Wasps time out doesn't stop the Wolves as they continue in the lead for a 17-14 cushion. The end was a nail biter as the set didn't finish at 25. The Wolves tied the score 25-25 whereas then the Wasps then took the last two to end the set 27-25.

The Wolves started strong in the fourth set with an early lead to make the score 6-4. The teams then went point for point throughout the set until the end where the Wasps took the final set 25-20.

Game Leaders

Taylor Hall led the pack with a double-double of 13 kills, 15 digs, and tagged two service aces. Margaret McMahon posted 10 kills and three blocks. Annie Dill also with a double-double of 39 assists, 13 digs, and tagged a block.
