NEWBERRY, S.C. - Men's wrestling wins in dominant fashion of Emory & Henry tonight, 51-6.
- Nine wolves claimed victory tonight with seven of those coming from falls, one from a technical fall and the last coming via major decision. In the lone exhibition match, the wolves claimed another victory via fall.
- The fastest fall of the night came from the 165 Ib class with Asa Walton pinning in 46 seconds. Every wrestler who won via fall did not let their time match go out of the first period.
- Zach Shupp pinned his opponent in one minute 25 seconds, the second fastest of the night.
- Patrick Wunderlich won via fall in two minutes and 48 seconds.
- Devon Rice claimed his fall in two minutes 33 seconds.
- In Exhibition Chance Jackson the third fastest pin of the night in one minute and 31 seconds.
- Freshman Ben Guilliam claimed a major decision victory in the 133 Ib class in his first match as a wolf. He won with a score of 15-4.
- Devon Moore produced a dominant tech. fall with a score of 17-2, getting the job done in one minute and 18 seconds.
- Three wasps forfeited for unknown reasons, resulting in automatic wins for 174 Ib Andrew Reed, 184 Ib ZeBrandon Grant and 197 Ib John Parker.
The Wolves travel to Tennessee this weekend where they will face off against King University on Friday, Nov. 17 at 6 P.M. and stay there till Saturday, Nov. 18 where they will compete in the King Open all day.
