MARS HILL, N.C.- The Wolves volleyball (7-17, 5-10 SAC) team finished their 2023 season at Mars Hill University this evening where they fell 3-0 to the Lions (13-10, 7-9 SAC).
The first set started with the teams going point for point, keeping the score close. The Lions got away from the Wolves for a few points until a kill from Kate Brown ignited a run for the Wolves to tie the score 15-15 forcing a Lions timeout. The Wolves battled keeping the Lions on their toes until the Lions finished the first set 25-23.
The second set was a nail biter with both teams trading points. The Wolves were the first to take the lead with the help of a kill from Brown to make the score 26-14. The Lions fought back but the Wolves didn't go down without a fight. The Wolves battled but unfortunately fell 25-19.
The Wolves had a slow start in the third but made their way back, catching up to the Lions with the help of back-to-back kills from Jacquelyn Adams to make the score 13-12. The Wolves fell in the third set to the Lions 25-20.
Game Leaders
Taylor Hall led the Wolves with 11 kills for the evening, Kate Brown, Madison Watson, and Ava Brown with five. Olivia Bradley led the pack with 25 digs for the match, Hall with nine.
