NEWBERRY - This week's Newberry College Athletes of the Week are freshmen outside hitter Anna Schneider (Simpsonville) and senior linebacker Luke Taylor (Summerville).

Schneider led the Wolves to a perfect 2-0 record last week with 25 kills, 20 digs, four blocks, three service aces.  She registered 12 kills in the win over Limestone and a career-high 13 in the victory over UVA Wise.  She ranks third on the team in kills (101) and second in service aces (11).

Taylor registered six total tackles, including four solo, in Saturday's loss to Carson-Newman.  Taylor is third on the team with 19 total tackles despite missing the previous two games due to injury.  He has registered 120 total tackles in his career at Newberry which includes 15 tackles for loss, five quarterback sacks and three interceptions.
