Women's Soccer drops this afternoon against non-conference Thoms More, 2-1.
Thomas More started the game off on the right foot, scoring in the 15th minute of the match, followed by another in the 20th minute. The Wolves were quick to adjust their defense after this sequence, not letting the Saints score after, and only allowing one more shot in the first half.Â
The Wolves offense made multiple attempts to climb back in the first half, seeing shots from
Becca Lipp,
Arden Kirkpatrick and
Allyna Gonzalez. Unfortunately they were unable to find the back of the net.
Starting the second half with a much more different tone, the wolves possessed the ball offensively much more and with more intensity, seeing multiple shots from
Alexa Randall,
Sydney Gusewelle and
Kirsty Cameron. Late in the half, freshman
Molly Quartly found a solo doorstop goal, putting the wolves within range to tie the match.
The team was unable to pull off a shot in the remaining eight minutes, dropping the match 2-1, falling to 4-8-1.
The Wolves come back home this Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1 PM celebrating both senior night and homecoming.
