Last Time Out: The Wolves and Bears met for the first time this season on Dec. 14 in Hickory, N.C. The Bears secured an 11-point, 68-57, victory over the Wolves that was the first game of a five-game road trip for the Wolves. Newberry shot 48.1% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc in the loss. Thirty-four of the Wolves 57 points came off the bench, with Tyla Paraha (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) and April Rummery-Lamb (Darwin, NT, Australia) combining for 19 of those 34 points.

Scouting the Bears: The Bears enter Wednesday's contest 16-1 on the season. Their only loss came on the road to division-leading Catawba by 17 points, 75-58. The Bears score the second-most points per game of all South Atlantic Conference teams, putting up 73.6 points per game. That's 0.2 points per game less than conference leading Carson-Newman and 0.2 points more than third place Tusculum. This production comes without any individual standouts, as the team's top scorer, Emily Harman, averages 15.0 points per game, putting her 15th in the conference in per game scoring. The Bears only have two players on the conference's top 20 scorers list. D2SIDA ranks the Bears 18th in the nation in their week nine poll, remaining in that spot for two consecutive weeks following two conference wins. Lenoir-Rhyne is also the third ranked team in the southeast region by D2SIDA, the top-ranking of any SAC team.

Scouting the Wolves: The Wolves enter Wednesday's game on a six-game skid. Redshirt senior center Ericka Wiseley (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) continues to lead the team in total and per game scoring, with 175 points through 16 games, good for an average of 10.9 points per game. Senior guard Holly Davies (Camberley, Surrey, England) is second on the team in both categories with 135 points and 8.4 points per game. The Wolves have won the last three meetings with Lenoir-Rhyne played in Newberry.
