NEWBERRY, S.C. -- Due to the threat of inclement weather in the Newberry area on Saturday and the forecast of wintry weather in Wise, Va., the Newberry College softball and baseball teams have announced adjustments to their weekend schedule. In addition, due to additional wintry weather in the mountains, the men's and women's lacrosse games have been pushed back to a later start on Saturday to accommodate the visiting team's travel.

The Newberry softball team's scheduled games against Wingate University that were originally going to take place on Saturday have now been moved to Sunday, March 13 with a 1:00 p.m. start to the conference doubleheader at home.

For baseball, the Wolves will now host the Cavaliers of UVA Wise in the weekend conference series at the Smith Road Complex.  The first game of the series will kick-off on Saturday, March 11 at 5:00 p.m. followed by a twin bill on the docket on Sunday, March 13 starting at 1:00 p.m.

The lacrosse matchups that were orginally scheduled for 2:00 and 5:30 p.m. will now take place later in the evening with the women's game drawing at 5:00 p.m. while the men's first face-off will take place at 7:30 p.m.  Prior to the start of the lacrose games the Newberry College athletics department will be breaking ground on phase two of the Building the Berry campaign. The official ceremony will take place along the east side of the stadium at 4:00 p.m.
