Wolves Looking to Upset No. 11 Lincoln Memorial on Saturday

Newberry, S.C. - The Newberry College men's basketball team (11-10, 11-8 SAC) are set to take on No. 11 Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial (20-3, 17-3 SAC) on Saturday in Eleazer Arena with tipoff scheduled for 4 p.m.

The Railsplitters are currently riding a six-game winning-streak, most recently defeating both Mars Hill and UVA Wise by a combined 100 points this week. Meanwhile, the Wolves are coming off of a victory in dramatic fashion after Callan Low (Glasgow, Scotland) knocked down a game-winning putback layup to secure the season sweep over Anderson.

Newberry's defense ranks second in the South Atlantic Conference in points allowed (67.8), and the defense will be crucial as the Wolves will need to slow down the league-leading offense of Lincoln Memorial that averages 89.1 points per contest.

The Railsplitters boast a balanced attack with six different players averaging double-figures, led by forward Jordan Guest who is averaging just under 16 points per game.
